Unfortunately, I have not been maintaining my teeth as well as I thought I might have with the use of my teeth whitening trays. The reason is, I found my trays to be rather annoying, uncomfortable and just did not have the time or patience to keep using them.
However I started to investigate in changing my toothpaste from the normal flouride based ones to something that will help remove surface stains as I am a frequent drinker of coffee, wines and other staining type foods.
I haved started using Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid Stain Protection Toothpaste for about a month now and to my surprised it actually works quite well.
Most of my front teeth is whiter, though not the same white as what I received from my professional whitening. My back teeths seems to white, but rarely pay much attention to them.
However just a side note, I have decided revert to my normal toothpaste as I read that teeth whitening toothpaste may lead to damaging your enamel as some of the ingredients are actually quite abrasive.
Even though the toothpaste I have been using claims to be enamel safe, I have decide to be on the safe side to probably use it in rotation every 3-4 months to help maintain my teeth.
All this cost me less than $10! Amazingly inexpensive.
